SEGD美國環境體驗設計協會，自1987年起，組織“SEGD全球設計獎”競賽，為環境體驗設計業，構筑優秀設計標準。公共空間導視、內容和體驗設計，是環境體驗設計的主要內容。“SEGD全球設計獎”競賽，則表彰這個領域杰出人才與作品。2014年以來，參加此設計競賽的作品，都在按不同類別接受評審，以便同類別的作品彼此之間進行比較。
